How to Find your Lats/Longs to Add Your Location to the nbn Address Registry
In some cases, especially if you live in a remote area where you’re eligible for a Sky Muster satellite service or Fixed Wireless service, our Sales team may ask for you to provide coordinates to locate your address.
This is often required when nbn don’t have your address already registered in their system. To get internet installed at your address, we’ll need to get your address added in the nbn address registry first.
See if your address is already registered here.
If we can’t easily identify your home using your address, we need coordinates to locate it. This is important so that when an nbn installer comes out to install your new service, they can find your property.
Below are the steps to obtain the coordinates of your address:
On a Laptop/Desktop Computer
Step 1: Open google maps by going to: https://www.google.com/maps
Locate your property by searching the address or dragging the map to the required location.
If you’re at the location when doing these steps, it may automatically navigate to your current location.
To change the map to satellite view, select the satellite button in the bottom left.
Step 2: Obtain the coordinates of your home by right clicking on the roof of your property and the latitude and longitude will be displayed.
Step 3: Provide these to our team and we’ll be able to get your address added to nbn’s registry, normally within 2-3 business days.
