Setting up services on your home phone

Introduction

In this guide we’ll cover setting up and using various features on your home phone

Call waiting

Call waiting lets you put an existing call on hold if you receive another call while on the phone. When call waiting is on, you’ll hear a “bip” noise to let you know someone’s trying to call you.

  • To turn call waiting on, dial * 4 3 #, then hang up.
  • To turn call waiting off, dial # 4 3 #, then hang up.
  • To answer an incoming call or switch calls, press Recall then 2.

  • To reject the incoming call, press Recall then 0.

Call return

You can use call return to find out the number of the last unanswered call (unless it’s a blocked or silent number).
To use call return, pick up your phone and dial * 1 0 #. The number of the last unanswered call will be read out, and you can press 1 to call it.

Call forwarding

Call forwarding lets you send calls to another phone number, such as a mobile.
Please note that standard charges apply for all forwarded calls.

Forward immediate

When Forward Immediate is active, all incoming calls are immediately forwarded to another number of your choosing.
Immediate forwarding overrides any other type of forwarding except “Call Forward Selected Callers”.

  • To turn on, dial * 2 1 followed by the phone number to forward to. Dial # and hang up to complete setup.
  • To turn off, dial # 2 1 # and then hang up

Forward when busy

If you’re already in a call, “Forward When Busy” lets you forward incoming calls to another number.

  • To turn on, dial * 2 4 followed by the phone number you want to forward to. To complete setup, dial # and hang up.
  • To turn off, dial # 2 4 # and hang up.
  • To check if it’s on/off, dial * # 2 4 # and listen for an announcement.

Forward if no answer

If no one is around to answer your phone, you can set it up to forward after a certain amount of time.

  • To turn on, dial * 61, enter the number to forward to, press # and hang up
  • To turn off, dial # 6 1 # then hang up.
  • To change the time a call will ring before forwarding, dial * 6 1, enter the phone number to forward to, press * and enter time in seconds, press # and hang up.
  • To check if on, dial * # 61 #, listen for the announcement and hang up.
