The National Broadband Network (nbn®) has announced that the Interim Satellite Service (ISS) will be switched off by the end of the month, 28th of February 2017.

The discontinuation of the ISS will affect all subscribers of the service. This includes residential, small business, indigenous community organisations, non-profit organisations, educational buildings, health facilities and local government organisations.

Am I on the Interim Satellite Service?

To avoid being cut off , the nbn® urges customers to determine if they’re subscribed to the ISS.
This can be done with the following ways:

    • If you were connected to a nbnTM satellite service between July 2011 and December 2013 (when nbnTM ISS services were installed).
    • Call your satellite service provider and ask if you are on the ISS.
  • Contact the nbn® directly by calling 1800 687 626.

Transitioning out of the Interim Satellite Service

Affected subscribers are eligible for either the nbn® Fixed Wireless or Sky Muster® Satellite Service depending on the premises’ footprint. Both fixed wireless and Sky Muster® are available through official nbn® Retail Service Providers (RSP) such as Activ8me.
The nbn®’s Fixed Wireless and Sky Muster® internet services bring better, faster and more reliable  connectivity to regional Australia. If you are still subscribed to the ISS and want to transition now, call Activ8me today to move before your service is discontinued.
