Good news to the residents of Victoria’s Surf Coast! Fast internet will soon be accessible to you as the National Broadband Network’s (nbn®) fixed line service, nbn® Fibre to the Node, will be available onthe Surf Coast starting this week, 9th of December. Neighboring Torquay will also be getting nbn® Fibre to the Node in February 2017.
The nbn®’s Fibre to the Node technology utilises the existing copper network for a fixed line service, and homes are connected from a nearby FTTN cabinet across the street. nbn® FTTN internet service is available through official nbn® Retail Service Providers (RSP) like Activ8me.
Activ8me CEO, Tony Bundrock acknowledged the increasing number of regional areas that will soon be able to connect to the nbn® FTTN service.

The brown and purple shaded areas will be ready for annbn® FTTN connection starting 9th of December 2016.
Torquay FTTN
The purple shaded areas in Torquay will be able to connect tonbn® FTTN by February 2017.
