Residents of Tweed Heads South are now able to connect to the nbn, with fast internet available as of late February.
NBN Co Community Affairs Manager Ian Scott announced the news to a large group of business owners and operators in an nbn® community event held at the Murwillumbah and District Business Chamber meeting last month.
During the announcement, Scott said the impending arrival of the nbn® was stirring up inquiries from the local business community.
“I can’t recommend one specific carrier but I can say there’s going to be several across the Tweed and now is the time to be inquiring.”

The Tweed Valley Weekly also shared the fixed line rollout information table that details the areas switched to the nbn®, alongside future areas for activation and the areas active as of last year.

Ian Scott also mentioned that the areas of Kingscliff, Clothiers Creek, Tygalgah, Pottsville Beach, Dunbible, Murwillumbah Hill, Burringbar West, Terranora, Zara and Chillingham are all now ready to connect to the nbn®’s wireless service.
