GTA V

Video games are something that many of us cannot go without. After a long day at work or uni, often nothing is better than putting your feet up, headset on, and gaming the night away with your friends.
Thanks to Kotaku.com.au, a list of the top 10 selling games of 2013 in Australia has been released. Check the list out here:
1. Grand Theft Auto V
Was there ever any question? GTA V was the fastest selling entertainment product in history. Rarely are games released with such anticipation and excitement, and this action-adventure game more than lived up to the hype.
2. Call of Duty: Ghosts
No surprise here either. With the ability to create your own soldier from the ground up, you fight as part of a mysterious group known as “Ghost” against a technologically superior global power that has crippled the country.
3. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag
Using young captain Edward Kennedy, you are drawn into an ancient war that may destroy everything the pirates have built for themselves. Set in the waters of the Caribbean in 1715, this is widely regarded as the best game of the series.
4. Battlefield 4
Featuring an interactive environment that reacts to your every move, you have the opportunity to dominate land, air, and sea. Features a much beloved multiplayer mode, as well as a challenging campaign mode.
5. FIFA 14
Now with a ball system called real ball physics, the ball now more accurately behaves like it would in real life. Also features improved teammate intelligence, so players made better decisions on both the attack and defense.
6 Call of Duty: Black Ops II
Makes the list despite not being released in 2013, which is a testament to the popularity of the game. Features a brand new zombies experience, which is highly popular part of the multi-player option.
7. The Last Of Us
In a world populated by infected humans thanks to a pandemic, you must smuggle a fourteen-year-old girl, Ellie, out of a military quarantine. Features an incredibly rich and complex combat system.
8. Skylanders Swap Force
Proved to be extremely popular with both children and adults, which is not an easy thing to do. Players use a portal to bring real life action figures into the game, where they can player an in-depth story
mode, or a multi-player mode.
9. Battlefield 3
Another game that was not released in 2013, Battlefield 3 still proved to be extremely popular. Nine great maps set the stage for up to 54 players to fight it out in a variety of urban, industrial, and military locations.
10. Tomb Raider
Based on the origins of Lara Croft, this game features an emotional aspect and intense story. Watch as Croft evolves from a shy young girl into the gaming icon she has become today.
The beauty of many of these games is that you can play them online with and against your friends. In order to play online, high-speed internet is important, which you can get from Activ8me broadband. Multiple users with devices including laptops, tablets, and smart phones can connect to Activ8me Fibre at the same time without the internet speed slowing down on faster speed tiers. This means that playing online won’t have much of an effect on those you live with who may also be online. Activ8me also provides wireless internet for those living in rural areas. Have we played many of the games on this list? What do we think of them?
