Activ8me offers three different models of wireless (Wi-Fi) routers.

Wi-Fi routers create a wireless network to connect devices to your internet service wirelessly (over a Wi-Fi network).

Some have additional features, for instance if you wish to have a VoIP internet phone service, you require a VoIP compatible router. This allows a telephone handset to be plugged into the router to provide the telephone service.

Some services require your router to have additional features, such as Fibre-to-the-Node and Fibre-the-Building connections.

These require the router to also have an in-built modem. Here’s how to see if a BYO router is FttN/B compatible.

We’ve noted key features like these on the information below.

All routers purchased from Activ8me are configured in our Melbourne warehouse to work straight out-of-the-box and are not locked to our network.

Hardware Warranty

Activ8me provides troubleshooting, support and warranty replacements for all available and previously supplied routers.

If you experience problems with the hardware supplied by Activ8me, you will need to contact our Customer Care Centre and lodge a support request via one of the following methods.

Phone: 13 22 88

Email: support@activ8.net.au

Online: Support Enquiry Form (www.activ8me.net.au/contact).

If we are unable to fix the problem, and the equipment is under the supplier provided warranty, we will send you a pre‐configured replacement device as well as a pre‐paid return freight satchel to return the faulty device at our cost.

If the faulty equipment (complete with all included cables and accessories) is not returned to us within 30 days of you receiving the replacement equipment, you will be charged for the replacement equipment and freight costs. You will also be charged if the returned device (i) is found to be faulty due to accidental or deliberate damage, however caused, or (ii) is faulty due to misuse, or (iii) was not supplied by Activ8me.

If the faulty equipment is not under warranty, and we are unable to resolve the fault, we will offer to sell you a pre‐configured replacement device. If you accept our offer, we will ship the replacement equipment to you and charge it to your Activ8me account.

Bring Your Own Router

Activ8me’s internet services work with compatible third-party routers. If you have your own router or are happy using your router from your previous ISP (Internet Service Provider), you can do so at no cost.

As long as your BYO router is not locked to another ISP and is compatible with your internet service, then you’re free to use your own router.

Please note that our Support team can only offer limited troubleshooting and setup support for third-party routers.
