What Is IPSTAR Satellite Broadband?
IPSTAR is a satellite service provided by Activ8me in rural and regional areas across Australia that not capable of receiving a broadband service such as ADSL or 3G Mobile Broadband. Under the Australian Government's previous broadband program the Australian Broadband Guarantee (ABG), IPSTAR dishes were installed to those not able to receive one of the above broadband technologies.
Customers connected with the ABG program or installed before June 30, 2011 can find all relevant information concerning IPSTAR under this section.

Plan Options
The below plans are only available to existing Activ8me customers who have an installed IPSTAR satellite service that was connected before June 30, 2011 or persons wishing to transfer their existing IPSTAR satellite connection that is with another provider to Activ8me.
Which Plan Is Right For Me?
Activ8me have a great range of plans to choose from, We offer two plan types - Excess and Shaped.
Excess - plans that are never slowed (shaped) once your monthly data allowance is reached. Excess usage is charged at $0.05 per MB.
Shaped - will never receive excess usage charges so all you pay each month is your flat monthly fee. Once your monthly usage quota is met, your service will be slowed to 64kbps.
Activ8me IPSTAR customers connected before June 30, 2011 may change to one of the below plans by logging into 'My Account'.

Uploads and Downloads are counted towards data usage. When monthly quota is met internet speed will slow to 64kbps on shaped plans. Excess plans are charged at $0.05 per MB of excess usage over your monthly data allowance. Unleashed speeds are specified as 6 Mbps download and 512Kbps upload. Actual speeds to individual premises will differ. Speeds can be affected by your location in Australia, volume of network traffic, number of users online, your equipment, software and source of your download. Peak data time is 12 noon - 11pm. Off-peak is 11pm - 12 noon (AEST/AEDT) unless time zone billing is changed to your Local Time Zone via the 'My Account'.
