Important Information
The following guidelines will help you get the most from your phone. You should also refer to the user guide that comes with your handset.

- Before you use your new Activ8me SatPhone, ensure you fully charge your battery.
- The antenna should be fully extended. It is highly recommended that you use the hands free ear set provided and hold the phone out pointing to the satellite.
- Satellite registration may take a few minutes and occasionally needs to refresh whilst on the move. You may experience reduced call quality if moving quickly while in satellite mode.
- To make and receive calls, point the antenna of the SatPhone in the direction of the Thuraya Satellite at all times. From Australia, the Thuraya-3 satellite is located roughly in the north-western sky.
- While observing the indicator for satellite signal strength, move around to achieve the best signal quality for the SatPhone (See signal strength picture below).
- When indoors and if you are receiving a call, a “High Penetrating Alerting” function may sound. If this happens, you must immediately extend the antenna and move into a position that has a clear line of sight to the satellite, point the antenna and press the Green Dial key to receive the call.
