New Whiz Bang Technology providing Faster Speeds and More Data for Activ8me customers upgrading to NBN
From November 2011 Activ8me will commence taking applications to upgrade current satellite broadband customer services to the new National Broadband Network (NBN) Interim Satellite Service. Customers who have a working satellite connection installed under a Government subsidy program (such as ABG or Broadband Connect) three years or more ago and meet NBN Co’s eligibility requirements will be able to upgrade to an NBN satellite service.
Under the NBN Interim Satellite Service Activ8me customers can get more peak data and faster download and upload speeds.
Activ8me will be contacting all eligible customers, however if you are interested in upgrading you can reserve a spot now!
Please note that from November, NBN has a connection limit of 1,000 customers per month and first priority is given to customers that have no alternative access to a broadband connection. Eligible existing customers with a working service connected more than three years ago that would like to upgrade to an NBN service will commence as Priority 2 upgrades.
We will do our best to get you signed up as quickly and easily as possible however Activ8me has no control over eligibility or entrance into the new program. The new Interim Satellite Service is limited at this time and all eligible customers will gradually be accepted by NBN Co into the program, however there may be some delays.
Additional Information is available by calling the Activ8me Sales Team on 1800 80 44 10.
Do I have to upgrade to NBN?
Current customers who are receiving satellite services through Activ8me will not notice any changes to their broadband services. This includes customers who previously signed up under the ABG, HiBIS or Broadband Connect Australian Government subsidy programs. If you happy with the plan you are on, you do not have to upgrade to NBN service. Activ8me’s satellite services will continue without interruptions or changes for current customers.
